Empowering Your Path
to Whole Health

Meet your Therapist

Cailin James, LMHC, CIMHP

As a licensed mental health clinician and certified integrative nutritional counselor in Massachusetts, I understand the challenges people face in navigating everyday life, especially when unexpected circumstances add further complexity. The coping strategies we once relied on often prove ineffective in such situations.

In my practice, I partner with adults to navigate difficult decisions, support life transitions, and address mental health concerns. My strengths-based, solution-focused approach aims to empower clients, enabling them to heal, grow, and better manage their well-being across the four pillars of wellness: mind, body, spirit, and environment.

Additionally, I work with women, trauma survivors, first responders, military/veterans, BIPOC, and LGBTQ+ individuals to provide trauma-informed healing.

Holistic Approach

True healing isn't about pushing harder—it's about finding balance. Often, the more we strive, the more chaos we create. I believe in the power of acceptance and shifting your mindset to remove obstacles. By honoring the four pillars of wellness—mind, body, spirit, and environment—we can work together to achieve your health goals.

Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I help clients identify and modify destructive thought patterns that negatively impact their lives. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), which builds upon the CBT framework by teaching strategies for managing intense emotions. Through a combination of narrative therapy, music therapy, and inner child work, you achieve deep, lasting healing.

Mind

As a certified integrative wellness provider, I consider the holistic impact of diet and nutrition on mental health. Additionally, I integrate Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) and Somatic Stabilization techniques to help you respond to life positively and constructively.

Body

Spirit

Environmental psychology explores the impact of spaces on people, including stressors like noise, the restorative effect of natural environments, and features linked to well-being and performance. It also examines personal space, wayfinding, environmental preferences, and motivations for environmentally friendly behaviors. Solution-Focused Behavioral Therapy is utilized to address and resolve conflicts experienced within your environment.

Spirituality and health are connected and unique to everyone. Spiritual wellness can relate to religious belief, the natural world, through relationships with others, or by living a fulfilling life aligning with personal values. Existential Therapy explores and addresses meaning and purpose in your life.
